Help the Blue Flag Beaches and Marinas to live up to the standard!
Tell FEE Slovenia about your experiences with the Blue Flag Campaign in Slovenia, then you help us ensure that the International Blue Flag standard is met. You can also help by telling the local mayor´s office or marina operator how well you think they live up to the Blue Flag standard.
The Blue Flag Program has been carried out in Slovenia by the Association for Environmental Education in Europe Slovenia – DOVES, since 1994. Today the Slovene Blue Flag program is promoted on via National tourism information centers in all the communities with the Blue Flag and via Common information boards that are in place on all Blue Flag beaches and marinas. For 3 years now DOVES runs special Environmental education activities on the beaches and marinas with the aim to educate users on the Environmental field and to promote the Blue Flag program itself. Within the collaboration with the Slovenian Tourism Organization, Ministry of the Economy and via The Environmental Agency of the Republic of Slovenia we are a regular guest on the national conferences regarding Tourism and Environment where the Blue Flag program itself is recognized as an environmental key performance indicator for hoteliers and communities. In the last few years the Blue Flag Logo and explanation is present also in the Hotel’s Brochures and in the different national and regional promotional documents.
